Useful new features for designers in Creative Cloud 2022

The feature sharing from Adobe MAX 2022 online conference is going to be excellent, and we want to share some cool new features with you! Our main focus will be on the updates for Adobe InDesign, as well as the desktop and iPad versions of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator that have been released recently.

New features added to Illustrator 2022

There has been a massive update to Illustrator’s 3D effects recently. This update has been with the introduction of a completely new dedicated panel featuring professional Substance materials, rendering with Ray Tracing and so much more.

1. Auto-Font Activation

The missing Adobe Fonts will be automatically activated when you open an Ai document with missing Adobe Fonts. It is imperative to note that when you open a document containing Adobe fonts that are not installed on your machine, Adobe will automatically find, download (sync), and install the Adobe fonts.

2. 3D and Materials

From the Preferences > Performance menu, ensure that Real-time Drawing and Editing is turned on. By doing so, you will be able to use the new 3D and Materials panel with more ease.

3. HEIF and WebP picture file support

A new feature has been added to Illustrator that allows it to import Apple’s High-Efficiency Image Format (HEIF) and Google’s WebP images.

New features added to Photoshop 2022

Using Photoshop, it is now possible to alter the climate of landscape shots to make them appear like snowy landscapes in winter or to modify them to make them appear like a desert in desert environments by adding snow.

1. Enhancements to Select Subject and Object Finder are made using cloud processing

With the addition of the Object Finder tool to Photoshop, the Object Selection Tool has just gotten better. It is now much simpler to swiftly make selections because it can immediately identify any important things in your photographs, even if they are on multiple levels.

Utilizing Cloud processing and the Adobe Sensei engine, the Subject Select function, which is powered by artificial intelligence, now performs significantly better. You can still use the offline version of Subject Select, which computes the selection on your computer, even if you are not connected to the internet.

2. Harmonization and Landscape Mixer are two new neural filters that have been developed

Since the Harmonization Neural Filter is capable of synchronizing the colors between the layers of a composite, it makes the process of generating realistic composites a lot easier.

A landscape photograph can be altered with the Landscape Mixer Neural Filter and a different reference image by using the Landscape Mixer Neural Filter. Your photographs’ time of day or season can be changed magically using Photoshop’s artificial intelligence engine, Adobe Sensei.

3. Utilize Teams and Spaces to plan your work and collaborate.

Libraries, files, and web links can now coexist with content from all supported Creative Cloud apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Fresco) in a single location. The best places to work together with other creatives are Teams and Spaces.

New features added to InDesign in 2022

Capture in InDesign now has the ability to extract fonts, color themes, or vector shapes from photos that were captured using the camera.

Detect – Extraction of Fonts, Color Themes, and Shapes from Images

Captured fonts can be saved and applied to characters or paragraphs in your works. You’re chosen CC Library will also receive Color Themes and Shapes.

Have you not yet updated Adobe Cloud to version 2022? Wouldn’t it be great if you could get started now? Become a part of an infinite world of creativity!
